Pend Oreille Pedalers Bicycle Club

Since 1944, there has been much speculation that a large water monster, the Pend Oreille Paddler, inhabits Lake Pend Oreille and haunts the residents of Sandpoint.

In 2004, a new monster reared its many-geared head; that is, the Pend Oreille Pedalers, a group of local singletrack and road riding addicts.

Pend Oreille Pedalers Bicycle Club, an IMBA and League of American Bicyclists affiliate, was established in July 2004 to preserve and improve bicycling opportunities around Sandpoint and in the Idaho Panhandle.
